Anonymous asked: For those people who are on their laptops/phones until the very second before they go to bed, may I suggest a program called f. lux (no space tumblr is stupid). it uses your location to calculate the sunset/sunrise then gradually dims your screen as the sun sets. I guess it might be handy for those people who're trying to fit in with a "normal" sleep schedule plus it has the added bonus of not making your eyes itchy from staring at an over-bright screen for too long c:
Very interesting, thank Anon!

boat-of-confusion asked: Idunnuh man I might be okay with staying up all night if I ever got anything done during that time. But mostly I just sit in bed and think about how I'm still awake and will look like a corpse the next day.
The key is to stop trying to go to bed when you aren’t tired. Or if you don’t fall asleep within a certain amount of time, get up and do something.. Even if you just get a glass of water or pee. That couple minutes spent not trying to sleep can actually help a lot
Anonymous asked: The "citrus alarm clock" software is great as a gradual alarm, fully customizable in every way, and you can use your songs or playlists as alarm. Even purchasing the license is cheaper than many clocks.
It definitely looks like a good solution!
It’s only for windows, from what I see. So for anyone who is interested here’s a link
Thanks, Anon! :)

shadowsareeverywhere asked: Re: Your sunrise lamp with the annoying alarm. After much searching, I found the "Philips Hf3470 Wake-up Light" on Amazon, which has both a gradual light to simulate sunrise and a gradual alarm. It's kind of expensive ($60 when I bought it), but totally worth it if you have trouble with waking up suddenly.
Mine is supposed to be a gradual alarm, but apparently what they meant by gradual is it goes from annoyingly loud to Skrillex concert in like 4 minutes lol
Thank you :)
the question is not “am I tired?”
the question is “what kind of tired am I today?”

Anonymous asked: To the anon about the pills: If your doctor absolutely refuses to tell you what medication you're on, that's a violation of health code and you can report them, that is, unless you're a minor, then they have the right not to tell you, but they'll tell your parents or guardian. In the meantime, check drugs(.)com/pill_identification(.)html. Just fill in the details on what your pill looks like and it'll identify it. It's correct about 95% of the time.
Very important information.
Thank you, other Anon
Anonymous asked: I don't know what meds I'm on [cuz uh apparently there's some totally legit reason for not telling me? idk man] but they not ONLY kill my appetite, but also my need to sleep. I'd feel superhuman if I didn't feel shitty instead.
That’s something you should definitely speak to your doctor about ASAP.
Food and sleep are very important things in life. It may just be your dose needs to be adjusted.
Also they should probably tell you what you’re taking because that’s also kind of a really important thing to know if, say, god forbid you’re in a car accident and admitted to the hospital or something, because some medications do react poorly with each other.
Anonymous asked: some drooling is normal, especially for stomach and side sleepers, but if it recently picked up and you don't have allergies or some kind of cold, make sure you don't have sleep apnea. Waking up a lot at night, especially for the first time around deep sleep, plus drooling a lot could mean breathing issues. Or it could be nothing, but better safe, right?
Very true. Thank you, Anon! :)
schlimmingspo asked: Hey this is a weird one but I've never really been a good sleeper, I wake up every few hours, have trouble getting to sleep until the early hours even when I'm really tired etc. But recently I've started spitting in my sleep. It has nothing to do with dreaming about spitting, I literally just wake up because I realise I've spat into my pillow, it's happened quite few times and I was just wondering what it might be, Google isn't very helpful haha x
Spitting, like deliberate baseball player kind of spitting? Or like drooling?
I know drooling is completely normal (I drool like a bulldog in my sleep it’s so gross lol). I can’t say I’ve ever heard of spitting in one’s sleep though.
There are some interesting comments about it here, but it seems none of them really have answers either. But at least you aren’t the only one.
Perhaps someone who sees this will know something about it? Followers?
